Our bus trips were EPIC! Our first one was two busloads of students to the Grand Opening of Ron Montez & Mary Murphy’s Champion dance studio in San Diego. Our “Destination Unknown” parties involved us promising everyone a good time and the students blindly trusting us. Until I had the driver take us to Hollywood’s Tropicana Club- a notorious ladies mud wrestling club. The groans from our lady students as I made everyone get off the bus and walked them all to the front door before saying “Just Kidding! Back in the bus!” and took them all to Sportsmens Lodge for a great night of Salsa dancing. Or the trip to San Francisco for our MamboMania By The Bay. Who else takes a Salsa band ON the bus? Champagne and Tequila Shots. Dancing in the aisle. One of our guest teachers falling headfirst out of the bus into a bush due to imbibing too much. Our bus trips to Calle Ocho festival in Miami, our Salsa team in China, and our Cruise trips were always a party from start to end.
MamboMania by the Bay
Tequila shots, dancing Rueda on the bus, the band leading us in loud chorus’ of El Gran Combo’s Brujeria. The “quiet bus” headed by Terryl and the “party Bus” by Enio. All the way to our last MamboMania which we held in conjunction with Ricardo Sanchez’s first San Francisco Salsa Congress. On the bus with us was LA band Son Y Clave.
Have you ever tried dancing Rueda in the aisle of a bus? Well we did!
On Sunday we had the bus take us to the Embarcadero, before we loaded everyone and partied all the way home. Halfway down the coast we stopped and let the ones wanting to sleep, switch onto Terryl’s bus, and the ones who wanted to party got on Enio’s bus. Certain guest pros partied so much they fell out of the bus when we got home.
Heading to our Puerto Rico -Miami-Calle Ocho Cruise
Buses to the cruise ship are one thing, but taking a bus from the cruise to a club we booked out in Puerto rico is another thing. Then getting back to Miami we took buses to Calle Ocho the World’s biggest Street party!
Let's Dance LA in China
Yes it looks like they must have been bored cause they were sleeping so much, but I think they pooped out from the long plane ride and yakking too much on the plane. Let’s Dance was representing California along with the UCLA Spirit Squad from Beijing to the Great Wall
